Technical Manager, Engineering Design and Modelling
AtkinsRéalis, a leading nuclear engineering group, seeks a Technical Manager to lead a team of designers and modelers in the preparation of overall plant models and drawings. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AutoCAD, Plant3D, and Revit, as well as knowledge of various authoring tools.
Your Role within the Team:
- Lead a team of designers and modelers in the preparation of overall plant models and drawings.
- Ensure Plant Modeling standards are adhered to across the team.
- Produce and maintain high-quality models and drawings with self-checks and formal reviews.
- Define the optimum structure for the project team with established accountability and reporting.
- Plan, schedule, and track project activities, commitments, and deliverables.
- Participate in diverse meetings and initiatives to improve workflows, authoring tools, and information exchange.
- Perform project and design file health checks, model management, maintenance, and assessment.
- Assist in project setup, including creation of execution plans and design coordination.
- Ensure all models, outputs, and project data are correctly established and maintained according to company standards.
- Foster a learning and continuous improvement environment to ensure the team acquires and maintains necessary modeling techniques and processes.
- Communicate and coordinate technical and management issues to various stakeholders in a multi-partnership environment.

- Support resource forecasting and hiring, develop training and mentorship plans.
- Set up performance expectations and provide timely feedback for the team.
- Develop proposals and estimates for future projects.

Requirements:
- University degree or college diploma in engineering, architecture, or equivalent technical discipline with 15 years of experience.
- Extensive experience in AutoCAD, Plant3D, and Revit.
- Strong business acumen, leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
- Detailed knowledge of model-based design protocols, standards, and software.
