Senior Technical Lead, Engineering Design and Modelling

AtkinsRéalis is a leading nuclear engineering group in Canada, providing a wide range of services to the nuclear industry. We are seeking a Technical Manager to lead our Engineering Design and Modelling team.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of designers and modelers in preparing overall plant 3D models and subsequent drawing output.
- Produce and maintain high-quality models and drawings with self-checks and formal reviews.
- Define the project team structure with established accountability and reporting.
- Plan, schedule, and track project activities, commitments, deliverables, resources, and budget.
- Perform project and design file health checks, model management, maintenance, and assessment.
- Assist in project set-up, including creation of execution plans, design coordination, and issue tracking.
- Ensure models, outputs, and project data are correctly established and maintained in accordance with company standards and project requirements.
- Foster a learning environment to ensure the team acquires and maintains necessary modeling techniques and processes.
- Communicate and coordinate technical and management issues with various stakeholders in a multi-partnership environment.
- Support resource forecasting and hiring, develop training and mentorship plans.
- Set up performance expectations and provide timely performance feedback for the team.
- Contribute to proposal and estimate development for future projects.
- University Degree or College Diploma in engineering, architecture, or equivalent technical discipline with 15 years of experience.
- Extensive experience with AutoCAD, Plant3D, and Revit, as well as knowledge of various authoring tools.
- Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically with commercial orientation.
- Detailed knowledge of model-based design protocols, standards, and software.
