Sinai Health System is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in the adult Medical-Surgical ICU and Coronary Care Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead education and professional development activities/programs to enhance nursing practice and patient outcomes.
- Supervise learners and provide quality new hire orientation and competency development of existing staff.
- Utilize evidence-based practice to continually improve nursing care and patient safety.
- Develop and enrich standards of nursing practice and management of patient care.
- Take a leadership role in supporting quality improvement activities and participate in policy, procedure, and program development and evaluation.
Requirements
- Mandatory: Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institution, Critical Care nursing certificate, 3-5 years' recent experience in an adult medical, surgical or cardiac ICU, Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses' of Ontario (CNO), Eligible for cross-appointment to an academic institution.
- Preferred: CNA Certification in Critical Care Nursing.
