Job Summary

Cantex Distribution Inc is seeking a skilled Sewing Machine Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality textiles.

Responsibilities
  • Operate industrial sewing machines to produce a variety of textiles, including canvas and cotton or synthetic materials.
  • Use double needle machines, hemmers or blindstitchers, and other specialized equipment to achieve precise stitching and finishing.
  • Work with a range of materials, including canvas, cotton or synthetic, and leather, to produce high-quality garments and textiles.
  • Meet production deadlines and quality standards, working efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth production processes and high-quality output.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in textile production or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions, with regular breaks to maintain productivity and safety.
  • Strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliability, accuracy, and organizational skills to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
