Principal Mortgage Investigator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analyst to join our Special Investigations team at CIBC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting complex mortgage investigations and providing expert analysis to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Investigation and Analysis - Conduct thorough investigations of mortgage applications, identifying potential risks and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaboration and Communication - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including credit approval, risk management, and compliance, to ensure seamless communication and effective decision-making.
- Risk Management - Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with mortgage lending, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and CIBC's risk management policies.
- Process Improvement - Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of mortgage investigations and risk management.
- Technical Skills - Proficient in mortgage lending systems, including COINS, PRETS, and SGCC, as well as Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Strong Analytical Skills - Ability to analyze complex data and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Excellent Communication Skills - Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Risk Management - Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Technical Skills - Proficient in mortgage lending systems and software, including COINS, PRETS, and SGCC.
- Language Skills - Bilingualism in English and French, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
