About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analyst to join our Special Investigations team at CIBC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing complex mortgage applications and ensuring that they meet our lending standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and Analyze Mortgage Applications - Conduct thorough reviews of mortgage applications to ensure that they meet our lending standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders - Work closely with our credit approval team, partners, and other stakeholders to ensure that mortgage applications are processed efficiently and effectively.
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks - Identify potential risks associated with mortgage applications and work with our risk management team to mitigate them.
  • Provide Expert Advice - Provide expert advice to our credit approval team and other stakeholders on mortgage lending policies and procedures.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments - Stay current with industry developments and changes in mortgage lending regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills - Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively review and analyze mortgage applications.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills - Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with our credit approval team, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Mortgage Lending Regulations and Guidelines - Possess knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and guidelines, including those related to residential mortgages.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment - Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in English and French - Possess fluency in both English and French to effectively communicate with our clients and stakeholders.
