At the Government of Saskatchewan, we are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our Accounts Receivable operations. As Director of Accounts Receivable, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for delivering central Accounts Receivable services, ensuring alignment with The Financial Administration Act and Treasury Board's policies.

About Us

The Ministry of Finance is committed to overseeing government revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities. Our team provides accounts receivable processing services through the Financial Shared Services (FSS) branch, helping ministry clients and managing the Customer Inquiry Line.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an innovative executive who can drive organizational value through leadership, collaboration, and results. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will set the strategic direction for Accounts Receivable operations and manage the unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team in delivering all aspects of accounts receivable, including standard collections activities.
  • Work with the Office of the Provincial Auditor on the annual audit of Accounts Receivable systems and processes.
  • Develop and implement an audit framework for the centralized function to provide assurance to Permanent Heads and the Provincial Comptroller that receivables are accurately accounted for and collected.
  • Lead projects related to expanding the accounts receivable function within the central financial system, GEM, business process optimization, and change management.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the Government of Saskatchewan's work on the Enterprise Business Modernization Project (EBMP), implementing a new solution for an integrated financial, human resources, and procurement system.
