Job Description

\

As a Financial Planner at BMO, you'll play a key role in helping customers achieve their financial objectives. You'll provide expert financial and investment planning advice, identifying client needs and delivering solutions through the sales of managed products and services.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Taking a lead in proactively engaging with new and existing customers to grow loyalty and identify immediate/future opportunities.\
  • Implementing business development strategies to acquire new business, including outbound calling campaigns and cultivating branch referrals.\
  • Engaging customers to grow BMO's business by reaching out, generating appointments, and building new relationships within the community.\
  • Identifying opportunities during customer conversations to generate referrals for personal and commercial banking products.\
  • Supporting the achievement of sales and performance targets.\
  • Developing and implementing a relationship management plan to meet the needs of clients.\
  • Responding to customer investment requests to fulfill investment product needs aligned with the customer's goals and referring them to partners where appropriate.\
  • Developing solutions and making recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.\
  • Breaking down strategic problems, analyzing data and information to provide insights and recommendations.\
  • Executing work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service.\
  • Introducing clients to investment strategies and working with them to set goals and make real financial progress using appropriate guidance tools.\
  • Probing to understand customer personal investment and banking needs and integrating marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations to provide strategic advice.\
  • Looking for ways to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the overall business results and customer experience delivered.\
  • Maintaining current knowledge of personal investment products, practices, and trends and integrating them into customer conversations.\
  • May work at multiple branches and through various channels based on market needs to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives.\
  • Building effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.\
  • Protecting the Bank's assets and complying with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements.\
  • Focusing on a business/group.\
  • Thinking creatively and proposing new solutions.\
