Heavy Duty Truck Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Truck Technician to join our team at ABHAY TRUCKING INC. in providing top-notch vehicle maintenance and repairs.
About the JobThe successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and diagnosing issues with commercial transport trucks. This role involves working on complex systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical systems.
An ideal candidate will have experience working with heavy-duty vehicles and possess strong problem-solving skills. They should also be proficient in using various diagnostic tools and equipment.
This is a permanent position offering 35 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles, including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Detect and diagnose issues using various diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Estimate parts and labor costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Perform scheduled maintenance services and ensure all work is done according to manufacturer specifications.
- Document problems and work performed, preparing detailed reports for management.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A college/CEGEP diploma or equivalent in a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working with heavy-duty vehicles, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in using various diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
