At BRAR MACHINING CORP., we are seeking a skilled CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will play a vital role in producing high-quality products with precision and accuracy.

About the Role

This is a permanent position, working 30-44 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering or a related field, with experience in operating computer-controlled machine tools. Proficiency in Mastercam CAD/CAM software is also essential.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $55,000-$70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts with precision.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accuracy.
  • Fitting and assembling components and machine parts to close tolerance requires attention to detail and skill.
  • Maintaining, repairing, and calibrating precision measuring instruments is crucial for maintaining product quality.
  • Documenting and reporting deviations from specifications and tolerances ensures transparency and accountability.
  • Maintaining inspection records and completing inspection reports keeps track of product quality and process improvement.
  • Verifying dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) guarantees accuracy.
  • Setting up and operating conventional and computer-controlled machine tools requires technical knowledge and skill.
  • Verifying dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments ensures quality control.
