About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team at C DeVin Construction Inc. As a carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the construction process, working on various projects and ensuring that they are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Term: Permanent

  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years or equivalent experience
Work Site Environment

As a carpenter, you will be working in a variety of environments, including:

  • At heights
  • Confined spaces
  • Noisy
  • Dusty
  • Outdoors
Work Setting

You will be working in a construction setting, with various locations and projects to work on.

Tasks
  • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Supervise other workers
