About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team at C DeVin Construction Inc. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including reading blueprints, preparing layouts, measuring and cutting materials, and building foundations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools and equipment
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Instruct and supervise apprentices and other workers
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a variety of weather conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
