DevOps Architect

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Architect to lead the evolution of our development systems and processes used by our global software development organization.
The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, deploying, managing, operating and maintaining large-scale DevOps and CI/CD solutions.
We have a broad mix of C++, C# and the latest web development technologies and practices, and a wide range of tools to work with these differing technologies.
You will help craft a vision and roadmap for our development systems, lead key technical decisions on architecture, tools/technologies, and develop a technical roadmap to advance our DevOps and CI/CD vision.
You will collaborate with software architects, development teams and technology partners to architect and design DevOps and CI/CD solutions, and drive success by collaborating with product owners, stakeholders and development teams to prioritize and implement solutions and process improvements.
You will also advocate for and mentor others on DevOps and CI/CD best practices, and evaluate new technologies and processes to improve our development systems.
Requirements- Proven leadership: 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership role (e.g. architect, technical lead)
- Technical expertise: 10+ years of experience in software development or DevOps, demonstrating a strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals, CI/CD pipelines, software configuration management and DevOps best practices
- Experience with compiled language software development (ideally, C++ and C#)
- Experience with modern web technologies (e.g. NodeJS, React)
- Experience building and maintaining build systems in Bamboo, Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (ideally, Azure or GCP)
- Experience with package management systems (e.g. NuGet, Conan, Artifactory)
- Experience with Docker and containerization technologies
- Agile enthusiast: Experience with Agile development practices
- Change agent: Experience with change management practices
- Communication ace: Strong written and verbal communication skills
This position is based in Vancouver, BC and the candidate must reside in the Greater Vancouver Area as you will be required to go into the office on a hybrid work schedule.
The base salary range for this position in British Columbia is $150,000 CAD.
