Job Title: Senior DevOps Developer

The Senior DevOps Developer plays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing Seaspan's cloud infrastructure to support the company's growing IT needs.

This position is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Microsoft Azure Cloud services, ensuring seamless integration with development and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust and scalable DevOps infrastructure.
  • Automate build, deployment, and testing processes using Azure DevOps to achieve continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Develop and maintain Bicep templates to automate Azure resource deployment.
  • Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate Bicep templates into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Maintain version control systems, repositories, and branching strategies to facilitate efficient code collaboration.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track resource health and performance.
  • Manage and optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency of processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant Azure certifications, such as Azure Solution Architect or Azure DevOps Engineer, are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Azure Cloud Services.
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure functions, and Log Analytics services.
  • Working technical knowledge of programming languages, such as C# or Python, and relational databases.
  • Expert knowledge of troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
  • Understanding of Oracle Cloud Integration is an asset.
  • Prior experience in shipbuilding or heavy manufacturing is an asset.

The estimated salary for this position is $121,500 - $148,500, with the final base salary determined by Seaspan based on the candidate's skillset, experience, and position location.
