Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Desi Meal Time Indian Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and package take-out food for our customers
  • Provide exceptional customer service at our counters and buffet tables
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure the cleanliness of our floors
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit
  • Work a permanent schedule of 40 hours per week, with a focus on providing excellent service to our customers
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 1-6 months of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in English
