Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team in Carp. As a PSW, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, incontinence care, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), such as laundry, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation planning.
  • Observe and report changes in client conditions.
  • Provide companionship, social, and emotional support.
  • Accompany clients on errands and to appointments.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to follow client care plans and goals.
  • Administer medication reminders.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers.
Requirements
  • PSW certificate meeting technical and practical standards.
  • Clear enhanced police record check.
  • Able to acquire a valid CPR/BLS certificate.
  • WHMIS training completion.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Caring and respectful attitude towards clients and colleagues.
  • Compassionate and supportive approach.
  • Commitment to upholding SFC health and safety standards.
