Nurse Practitioner

RhynoCare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Sechelt-area. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Nursing Care: Deliver nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
- Utilize Sound Nursing Practice: Ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure Timely Admissions: Provide a comprehensive orientation to the home and its services for new residents.
- Manage Resident Transfers: Ensure timely and safe transfers and discharges of residents.
- Manage Medications: Ensure the safekeeping and control of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Assess and Evaluate Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
- Education: Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Certifications: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Deals with others in an effective, compassionate, and supportive manner.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other pertinent Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Statutes.
- Clearance: Medical Clearance, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check, Clear Criminal Record check.
