About the Teaching and Learning Centre of InnovationThe Teaching and Learning Centre of Innovation (TLCI) at Olds College serves students, faculty, and staff in various areas, including Accessibility Services, Learning Commons, Educational Development, Moodle and Google training, The Studio video production services, and the MakerSpace.
The Opportunity - Contract Tutor, Business ProgramsWe are seeking a contract tutor to support Olds College students in Learning Commons during the 2024/2025 academic year. The tutor will facilitate student learning in one-on-one and small group settings, with a focus on business programs. Preference will be given to those with familiarity with Olds College programming.
The ideal candidate will possess a Baccalaureate or Diploma in a related discipline (Business Administration, Accounting, Management, etc.) and tutoring/teaching experience at the post-secondary level. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered, but the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Accounting, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and Finance.
The ideal candidate will also possess strong interpersonal skills, time management skills, and a willingness to learn and grow professionally. They will be an effective communicator, comfortable working with diverse populations, and proficient in MS Office and the Google suite of apps. The ability to tutor online, in person, or both is required.
