About the Teaching and Learning Centre of InnovationThe Teaching and Learning Centre of Innovation (TLCI) at Olds College of Agriculture and Technology serves students, faculty, and staff in various areas, including Accessibility Services and Student Academic Support, Learning Commons, Educational Development, Moodle and Google training, The Studio video production services, and the MakerSpace.
The Opportunity - Contract Tutor, Math Generalist
A contract opportunity is available for a tutor to support Olds College students in the Learning Commons (library) during the 2024/2025 academic year. The tutor will facilitate student learning in one-on-one and small group settings, with a focus on Statistics and Applied Math. The ideal candidate will possess a Baccalaureate or Diploma in a related discipline and tutoring/teaching experience.
The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, comfortable working with diverse populations, and proficient in MS Office and the Google suite of apps. They will also be able to work flexible hours, including days and/or evenings, and be willing to learn and grow professionally.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate or Diploma in a related discipline
- Tutoring/teaching experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Time management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and the Google suite of apps
