Ferme D.D. Gascon & Fils Inc is seeking a reliable and physically demanding Livestock Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock.
Key Responsibilities- Disinfect pens, barns, and poultry houses to maintain a clean and healthy environment for our animals.
- Handle and care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring their health.
- Mark livestock as proof of ownership and supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly.
- Treat livestock health issues and perform general farm duties as needed.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, farm trucks, and forklifts.
- Clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically demanding role requiring the ability to handle heavy loads and work in all weather conditions.
- Organized and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Quick learner with a willingness to take on new challenges.
This is a rural area position that requires working outdoors in a dusty environment. You will be exposed to all weather conditions and will need to be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
