Ferme D.D. Gascon & Fils Inc is seeking a reliable and physically demanding Livestock Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock.
Key Responsibilities- Disinfect pens, barns, or poultry houses to maintain a clean and safe environment for our animals.
- Handle and care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring their health.
- Mark livestock as proof of ownership and supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly.
- Treat livestock health issues and perform general farm duties as needed.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, farm trucks, and forklifts.
- Clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically demanding role requiring the ability to handle heavy loads and work in all weather conditions.
- Organized and reliable with a quick learning ability.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week. The work site environment is outdoors, with dusty conditions and exposure to all weather conditions. The work setting is in a rural area.
