Livestock Farmhand

Ferme D.D. Gascon & Fils Inc is seeking a reliable and physically demanding Livestock Labourer to join our team. As a Livestock Labourer, you will be responsible for the daily care and maintenance of our livestock, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring their health.
Key Responsibilities- Animal Care: Disinfect pens, barns, or poultry houses, handle animals, mark livestock as proof of ownership, monitor animal health, perform animal grooming activities, perform livestock feeding, prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving, supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly, treat livestock health issues, feed and tend animals.
- Machinery Operation: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including milking systems, tractors, farm trucks, and forklifts.
- Facility Maintenance: Clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
- General Farm Duties: Perform general farm duties as required.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
- Work Environment: Corn farming, other miscellaneous crop farming, outdoors, dusty, dairy, livestock, all weather conditions.
- Work Setting: Rural area.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work independently, physically demanding, handling heavy loads, large workload, walking.
- Personal Suitability: Organized, reliability, quick learner.
