Job Title: Retail Store Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a Retail Store Manager to join our team at Banff Convenience. As a Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, including managing sales staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign sales workers to duties and oversee their performance
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage store finances
  • Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand
  • Establish work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient stock management
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to achieve business objectives

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail management role
  • Ability to relocate to support business needs
