About the Opportunity

Societe Generale offers a career opportunity for a Credit Risk Professional to join our Global Banking and Advisory team. This role is part of our Credit Portfolio Management Group, responsible for managing large US corporate portfolios and subsidiaries of non-US groups.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Senior Credit Analyst and will be part of a team responsible for preparing comprehensive credit analyses, reviewing legal documentation, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Preparing high-quality credit applications and annual reviews of corporate counterparties to assess their credit quality, recommending appropriate credit limits, terms, and conditions.
    • Determining debt repayment capability and ensuring compliance with SGUS Credit Policies.
    • Proposing and updating Obligor Risk Ratings.
    • Maintaining accurate records and files related to credit assessments.
    • Liaising with other teams in the US, Europe, and Asia, business lines, bankers, legal & compliance, operations, and risk department.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial analysis, and knowledge of commercial and investment banking products. A bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required, with 8-10 years of experience as a credit analyst in a corporate and investment banking entity or related field.

Benefits and Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000-$150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as health spending accounts ($2,000/year) and personal spending accounts ($1,000/year), fully sponsored virtual healthcare assistance, and employee resource groups.
