Job Summary:

The Carpenter will be responsible for measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. The successful candidate will also be required to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, as well as estimate costs and materials. Additionally, the Carpenter will maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Estimating costs and materials.
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English as the primary language of work.
  • 40 hours per week.
Work Environment:

The Carpenter will work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments, with physically demanding tasks.
