Job Title: Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at FRS Framing Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Carpenter will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Estimate costs and materials
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 40 hours per week
