Child Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Mental Health Specialist to join our team at BC Public Service. This is a temporary opportunity until January 6, 2026.
Job SummaryThe Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Duncan team provides comprehensive care for children, youth, and their families facing emotional and behavioral challenges. As a CYMH Clinician, you will play a vital role in providing direct clinical services including intake services, assessment, treatment, and some crisis intervention.
Responsibilities- Provide direct clinical services including intake services, assessment, treatment, and some crisis intervention.
- Work closely with team members, community agencies, schools, hospitals, and other ministry programs to provide comprehensive care.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Master's degree in Counselling, Social Work, Educational Counselling, Clinical Counselling, Clinical Psychology, or Child and Youth Care.
- At least one year of full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families.
- A valid class 5 BC Driver's license with no restrictions.
Possible preference may be given to applicants with:
- Two years or more of experience working with children and youth and their families.
- Applicants who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit).
This position offers flexible work options, including the possibility of working up to one day per week from home. An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,563.25 - $97,633.20 annually, which includes a 4 Grid Temporary Market Adjustment.
