We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Medical Float Team on a temporary, part-time basis.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide professional nursing care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a member of our Medical Float Team, you will have the opportunity to work in various units and develop your skills in a variety of settings.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care in accordance with the standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve patient outcomes
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current B.C.L.S. certification
- Coronary Care 1 certification or willingness to obtain within six months
- Competency in performing added nursing skills as required
- Previous experience in a medical/surgical unit an asset
- Ability to work in an active, rapidly changing environment with multiple demands
- Ability to make decisions and prioritize effectively
- Ability to focus on complex instructions and tasks in a distracting environment
- Ability to function as a team member and maintain good interpersonal relations
- Physical ability to lift, pull, push, carry, reach, and physically support patients as required
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods with repetitive bending
Successful applicants are required to provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check and complete the Health Care Worker Health review process, including providing an up-to-date immunization record.
