Registered Practical Nurses, Medical Float Team Position

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Medical Float Team on a temporary, part-time basis.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide professional nursing care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a member of our Medical Float Team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients in a medical/surgical unit
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct assessments, administer medications, and perform various nursing procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current B.C.L.S. certification
- Coronary Care 1 certification or willingness to obtain within six months
- Competency in performing added nursing skills as required
- Previous experience in a medical/surgical unit an asset
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple demands. They will be required to stand for prolonged periods, lift, pull, push, carry, reach, and physically support patients as needed.
