Cyber Security Solutions Architect

Are you a seasoned Cyber Security professional looking to make a real impact on digital security? Our client is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Consultant to conduct thorough cyber risk assessments on both new and existing technical solutions, ensuring robust protection and minimizing security gaps. In this role, you will work closely with technology stakeholders to review and analyze architecture designs, document assessments, and provide insightful feedback to ensure all security requirements are thoroughly understood and addressed. Your expertise in risk management frameworks, such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and SOC 2, will be vital as you support the end-to-end cyber risk assessment process. Ideal candidates will have a background in Cyber Security Architecture, along with strong communication skills to simplify complex security concepts for non-technical stakeholders. A university degree or college diploma in Computer Science or related fields, along with certifications like CISSP, CISA, or CISM, will make you a strong fit. Experience with Cloud Architecture, particularly in Azure, and knowledge of application security will be an asset. If you are passionate about securing enterprise environments, we'd love to connect.

Responsibilities

Conduct cyber risk assessments on new and existing technical solutions to identify security risks and control gaps by:

Review architectures/proposed technology designs to provide feedback to the technology stakeholders.

Documenting the cyber security design assessment of the proposed solution

Collaborate with security and technical teams to ensure security requirements and risks, including potential mitigations, are understood.

Follow up on the cyber risk assessment to its completion (end to end process).

Develop and provide guidance on repeatable security solutions (i.e., patterns).

Participate in various informational sessions as needed

Other activities and deliverables, as required.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Skills

University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM.

A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in Cyber Security

Demonstrated experience working in the field of Cyber Security Architecture.

Experience with risk management and security control methodologies and frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 2).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex security and technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
