About the Role

The Chief Estimator will play a pivotal role in the success of Graham's Buildings division, overseeing the estimation process for large-scale projects. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing estimating strategies, managing a team of estimators, and ensuring the financial success of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement estimating strategies to ensure accurate and competitive bids
  • Manage a team of estimators, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Collaborate with project managers and directors to ensure estimating processes align with project goals
  • Conduct thorough scope of work reviews to ensure completeness and accuracy of estimates
  • Identify and develop constructability requirements for projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project risks
  • Prepare and present estimates to clients, ensuring clear and concise communication
Requirements
  • 20 years of combined field and estimating experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior estimating role
  • Leadership experience in managing large-scale projects, with a proven track record of success
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, including design-build and construction management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Gold Seal Certified, LEED Accredited, LEAN experience, MRICS, and CIQS are assets
