About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Worker to join our team at Lakeland Animal Care Group. As an Animal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathing and Grooming: Bathe and shampoo animals, ensuring their coats are clean and healthy.
  • Food and Nutrition: Prepare and serve food and feed animals, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Cleaning and Disinfection: Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures, adhering to high standards of hygiene.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of animals treated, including medical history and treatment plans.
  • Animal Care: Clean animal ears, clip animal nails, and perform dental cleaning on domestic animals, promoting their overall health and comfort.
  • Weight Handling: Safely handle animals weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs), ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, and excellent written communication, working effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with the team to achieve common goals, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Experience: Possess 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
