Job Summary

The Veterinary Assistant will provide critical support to our veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This role will involve handling and caring for animals undergoing treatment and surgery, as well as assisting with laboratory research and routine animal dental procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with animal care and treatment
  • Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian
  • Conduct and assist in laboratory research
  • Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with animal dentistry
  • Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
  • Provide wound and bandage care
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
