Job Summary
Wood's Homes is seeking two casual Youth and Family Counsellors to join our Stepping Stone program in Fort McMurray. As a Counsellor, you will be the primary worker with children, youth, and families, providing high-quality services and contributing to a team that delivers exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain a structured setting that fosters personal and social development for each client.
- Participate in supervisory meetings, team meetings, and training sessions to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Provide therapeutic support to children, youth, and families, including case management, intervention strategies, and consultations.
- Maintain a safe and clean living environment and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
- Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and transportation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or undergraduate degree in Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Nursing, or related field.
- Minimum two to four years of experience in a related field.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Experience working with young people is preferred.
- Class 5 driver's license and own transportation.
