Position Overview: We are currently seeking a full-time Youth and Family Counsellor II to join our Therapeutic Foster Care Program. This role is essential in providing culturally sensitive support to children and families, particularly focusing on the unique needs of Indigenous youth.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain a structured environment that promotes personal and social development for each client.
- Engage actively in team meetings, training sessions, and planning activities.
- Manage therapeutic responsibilities for assigned children and families, including participation in case conferences and intervention strategies.
- Ensure the living environment meets the standards set by the Licensing Department.
- Assist with daily operational tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and transportation.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management.
- Diploma or degree in Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field, along with two to four years of relevant experience.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience working with youth is preferred.
- Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license and access to transportation.
