Position PurposeThe Senior Manager, IT Security will play an integral role in implementing the University's technical vision, leading all aspects of identity, access, and security management to remain compliant and mitigate security risks. They will collaborate with the Security Architect to ensure the protection of identity and security management in compliance with the University policy.
Key Responsibilities:- Identity and Access Management: Develops and administers security measures to restrict, control, and monitor access to the University network and computing systems and applications.
- Business Case Preparation: Collaborates with client managers to identify new business needs and opportunities for technology to solve business problems, increase administrative efficiency, and lower costs.
- Project Management: Creates or oversees the creation of detailed project plans using sophisticated tools, with a detailed understanding of project planning techniques and critical path analysis concepts.
- Business Process Analysis and Design: Oversees the design of complete solutions to complex business problems using expert knowledge of technology, business process analysis techniques, business process re-engineering, and workflow analysis.
- IT Solutions Development: Directs all aspects of systems analysis and design, programming and debugging, quality assurance testing, technical and user documentation, and system implementation.
- University degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum ten years of experience in a complex and diverse IT environment, demonstrating experience in identity access management, security, project planning, risk analysis, and IT resources management.
- Knowledge of the University's information technology policies, procedures, and standards.
- Experience in security incident handling processes, incident discovery, analysis, and verification.
- Experience working with various software development methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as systems analysis, data modeling, database design, system design, programming, quality assurance, documentation, change, and problem management.
- Experience managing a team of IT professionals.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Negotiating, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Bilingualism – French and English (spoken and written).
$108,337 - $134,456 per year
