Job Overview

As a Food Service Supervisor with Dexterra Group, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of customer service and food quality in our food service department. You will assist the Manager on duty with coordinating activities and supervising associates to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise food service unit and ensure completion of cash readings, manage associates, and train employees.
  • Assist with catering functions and ensure service area is stocked and prepared for meal periods.
  • Learn from and assist the Shift Manager to resolve labour relation issues, track weekly inventory, labour and food cost.
  • Ensure strict compliance with our Health and Safety Program, Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS regulations.
  • Coordinate frequent workplace inspections and WHMIS training of all staff and promptly report any workplace accident or incident to head office.
  • Ensure Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards are followed in the food preparation process.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least two years of strong operation food industry management experience.
  • Tim Hortons experience is an asset.
  • Comprehensive health and safety knowledge and training.
  • Knowledge of food service catering.
  • Strong supervisory skills and the capability to motivate and lead staff.
  • Employee relations experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Food Handler Certified.
