The Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer and Safety Coordinator to join our team as a Full-time employee.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform light maintenance on plant equipment.
- Respond to repair calls and perform safety checks on equipment.
- Conduct maintenance on the boiler and ensure its safe operation.
- Provide new employee orientation and training.
- Manage forklift operations and ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct plant inspections and enforce safety protocols.
- Organize safety binders and paperwork.
- Conduct fire drills and safety audits.
- Assist other departments as needed and perform additional duties assigned by the Chief Engineer.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in similar positions in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Class 5 Steam Ticket required.
- Building operator/building maintenance experience and forklift license are assets.
