Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Manchu Wok. As a key member of our culinary department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of food service staff, including cooks, servers, and hosts/hostesses.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure excellent performance.
  • Operations Management
    • Establish and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Quality Control and Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet our high quality control standards, and take corrective action when necessary.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Human Resources
    • Hire, train, and develop food service staff to ensure a high-performing team.
    • Manage employee relations, including performance management, conflict resolution, and employee recognition.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced restaurant environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
