Job Summary:

The Community Facilities Shift Leader is responsible for guiding and coordinating a team of facility attendants and contractors to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the safe and efficient operation of community facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily direction and guidance to facility attendants, ensuring excellent customer service and meeting daily work schedule commitments.
  • Coordinate the scheduling, training, and supervision of facility attendants to ensure adequate coverage and maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Conduct facility safety inspections, report and address any safety concerns, and ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
  • Support departmental goals and business strategies, develop guidelines and procedures, and identify opportunities for increased efficiency.
  • Provide oversight of day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with safety policies, guidelines, and relevant health and safety legislation.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is considered an asset.
  • Current Standard First Aid - Level C CPR and AED certification is required.
  • ProServ certification is considered an asset.
  • 3 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a recreation environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to adapt well in an ever-changing environment and self-start, goal-oriented, resourceful, innovative, and creative.
