As a Winter Seasonal Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining Alberta provincial highways using various heavy equipment.
We are seeking enthusiastic and team-oriented individuals with a Class 1 or Class 3 license to join our team. You will be part of a great team dedicated to safe operations and will have the opportunity to make long-term plans. Essential Responsibilities:
- Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other equipment as required
- Maintain Alberta provincial highways on a seasonal basis, including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
- Work outside in all weather conditions
Qualifications:
- Successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Be able to perform physically demanding tasks
- Possess a valid Class 1 or 3 driver's license with air endorsement
- Provide a 3-year driver's abstract
- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset
Work Conditions:
- Applicants that are local may be given preference due to the location of the work
- As LHL is obligated to respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required
