About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our Statutory Reporting group at Scotiabank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of financial reports to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and review of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective reporting processes and procedures to ensure timely and efficient delivery of reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and information required for reporting purposes.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensure that our reporting processes are compliant with all relevant requirements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and compliance, preferably in a banking or financial services organization.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with financial reporting software.
