Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for performing assigned duties as required by the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists' Scope of Practice and Institutional Policy and Procedure.
You will assess patients' respiratory needs, implement treatment plans, evaluate progress, and adapt treatment plans according to patient needs and expected outcomes. You will also conduct full respiratory assessments, evaluate progress, and implement respiratory discharge plans.
Requirements- Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy, and be registered with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certified or willingness to obtain required
- Current Heart & Stroke BCLS (Level C) Certification required
- Member in good standing with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapist (CSRT) preferred
- Successful completion of hospital-based certification and recertification procedures are mandatory for continued employment
- Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and work under pressure of time limitations required
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills; must be an effective team player
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
We offer a competitive salary range of $32.43 - $40.66 hourly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
