About the Role

This diverse team of professionals are dedicated to exceeding clients' unique needs within a rapidly evolving business and financial reporting landscape.

As a Senior Accountant, you will provide tailored financial information that enables clients to make informed decisions with confidence.

You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting review and audit procedures
  • Setting up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses
  • Performing financial reporting, treasury, accounts receivable and revenue, accounts payable and purchases, capital asset and intangible asset acquisition and disposition, payroll walk-through with clients
  • Summarizing clients' current financial status by collecting information and validating balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other relevant reports
  • Assessing and assuring appropriateness of audit evidence for expenses, revenues, capital asset additions, accounts payable, accounts receivable and prepaid expenses etc...
  • Reviewing and investigating discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries, documents and reports
  • Reviewing charts of accounts and entries posted to accounts
  • Preparing correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts and highlights
  • Developing effective working relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Participating in business development initiatives and identifying new business opportunities
  • Maintaining flexibility to travel, as necessary

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • 2-4 years of relevant public accounting experience
  • CPA designation
  • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Assurance Standards (GAAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is a plus
  • Experience working with accounting software
  • Understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
