Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Department Manager to join our Cosmetics team at London Drugs. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for assisting the Department Manager in directing staff to maintain merchandising, customer service, and operational standards within the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Department Manager in directing staff to maintain merchandising, customer service, and operational standards within the department.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising and visual displays to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
  • Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate records of stock levels and sales data.
  • Collaborate with the Department Manager to develop and implement sales strategies and promotions.
  • Provide training and coaching to sales associates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service.
  • Monitor and maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the cosmetics department.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including counting tills and reconciling discrepancies.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year of management retail experience, preferably in a cosmetics department.
  • Extensive knowledge of cosmetic products and strong skills in merchandising and creative display of product.
  • Professional sales experience and proven ability to build business.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, employees, and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
