Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Department Manager to join our Cosmetics team at London Drugs Limited. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Department Manager in directing staff to maintain merchandising, customer service, and operational standards within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Department Manager in directing staff to maintain merchandising, customer service, and operational standards within the department.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth and increase sales.
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels, including ordering and receiving merchandise.
  • Collaborate with the Department Manager to develop and implement visual merchandising displays and promotions.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive business growth and increase sales.

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of management retail experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of cosmetic products, combined with strong skills in merchandising and creative display of product.
  • Professional sales experience and a proven track record of driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, employees, and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Working Conditions:

This is a Regular Part-Time position, with a minimum of 1456 hours per year, up to 40 hours per week, as needed. Applicants must be available to work a flexible schedule, Monday to Sunday.
