Concrete Finisher Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Universal HR Solutions. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on concrete surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Form Preparation: Set forms to hold concrete in place, ensuring accurate dimensions and smooth surfaces.
  • Surface Inspection: Clean and inspect surfaces for any issues that may affect the concrete pouring process.
  • Casting and Pouring: Direct the casting of concrete with the truck driver, ensuring the correct amount and consistency of the material.
  • Finishing Techniques: Use a variety of tools, including handheld and power tools, to smooth, level, and polish the concrete surface.
  • Weather Monitoring: Monitor the effects of weather on the curing process, taking necessary precautions to ensure the concrete sets properly.
  • Sealing and Hardening: Apply sealing and hardening components to protect the concrete surface.
  • Compaction: Safely operate power vibrators to ensure the concrete is compacted and even.
  • Expansion Joints: Mould and construct expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
  • Surface Polishing: Use a power surfacing machine to polish the concrete surface.

Requirements:

  • Experience in concrete finishing and construction.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
