Job Title: Concrete Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at R.A.M CONTRACTING LTD. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on concrete surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for concrete finishing projects.
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it is properly set.
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete concrete finishing tasks.
  • Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Instruct apprentices in concrete finishing techniques.
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures as required.
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
  • Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces as needed.
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications for concrete finishing projects.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Work in a physically demanding environment with frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Handle heavy loads and work at heights.
  • Attention to detail is essential to ensure high-quality finishes.
  • Sound discrimination is necessary to work safely in noisy environments.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in concrete finishing.
  • Permanent employment with a regular schedule of 30 to 44 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English is required.
