At Multiplex, we are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist Co-op to join our team in shaping the skylines across the globe.

Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist connects our site teams with trusted suppliers to provide necessary materials, equipment, services, and products for project delivery. This role requires strong communication with site teams and supplier partners to plan and understand project needs, ensuring timely arrivals on-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive requisitions from multiple sites and create purchase orders, placing them with suitable suppliers.
  • Assist Buyers with questions about products or suitable suppliers.
  • Perform 3-point matches between requisitions, purchase orders, and packing slips, coordinating with the Accounts Payable team to process invoices.
  • Contribute to inputting rental trackers for tools and equipment rented on-site.
  • Assist with tracking inventory at headquarters and sites.
  • Request budgetary pricing from vendors based on information provided by the Procurement Manager.
  • Document and escalate any supplier performance issues to the Procurement Manager.
  • Support unit rate data entry for Division 1 items under various cost codes.
  • Generally assist with processing orders.
Requirements

We seek an individual with:

  • Equivant of a post-secondary degree/diploma in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Purchasing, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Two years of direct work experience in purchasing or procurement with a focus on construction consumables and rentals.
  • Preferably, on-site construction management experience.

  • Strong technical/computer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
