Job Description

Canadian Partnership for Women and Children seeks a highly experienced Technical Director to lead its global nutrition and gender initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the organization's technical strategy, setting departmental goals, and ensuring the effective delivery of technical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive technical strategy for the organization's global initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of technical strategies with the organization's international strategic plan.
  • Collaborate with programs department to unite technical and program teams for effective program design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes for all programs implemented by the technical department.
  • Ensure the highest quality of technical services delivered through GNC and SMART.
Partnership and Funding
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with new partners for global technical programming.
  • Cultivate new donors and diversify the funding base to secure stable funding for the technical department portfolio.
Representation and Communication
  • Proactively develop and manage relationships with donors regarding technical programming.
  • Actively represent the organization with international and Canada-based nutrition, gender, and health organizations.
Team Management
  • Ensure human resource management processes for the technical department are conducted in compliance with the organization's HR policies.

Minimum of 10 years of experience working on nutrition in an international humanitarian or development organization.
